Astro Shop is a division of Binary Systems Pty Limited established in 1999 and is a
fully Australian owned company. We are an importer and export retail / mail order online
shopping specialist also involved in the manufacturing and development of some of our own
products under the registered trade mark of ProStar®. We have product storage and delivery centres in both NSW and Queensland
that ensures we can provide you our best shipping rates no matter where
you are in Australia.
Astro Shop was established to provide a more convenient and safe service to amateur
astronomers and other internet optical product shoppers seeking a high quality respectable
range of products. We offer a wide selection of carefully evaluated products at genuine
discounts. Unlike several dealers in Australia, we don't provide
misleading discounts on products then sting you on the delivery charge
at the checkout.
We sincerely enjoy chatting with our genuine customers and sharing experiences as amateur astronomers
in both visual and imaging pursuits and endeavour to offer our best advice where
possible concerning our range of products. Indeed, some retailers offer certain brands
that we may not stock and
in these instances we're happy to set you on the right path by recommending a reputable
honest dealer.
Reducing the Confusion
Unlike most retailers and
importers, it is our policy to pro actively evaluate
products / brands we sell where and whenever possible for true quality and value for money. We
also take onboard first hand advice from customers and other more specific product experts
on recommendations for certain items that meet this mantra in order to help reduce
consumer confusion. In other words.. if it's listed on the
Astro Shop website, you can
be assured that it's good gear! Sure, there are cheaper alternatives here and there but we
proudly stand behind our manufacturer brands because if they pass muster!
Checking new products out is one of the
great parts of the job we enjoy and we have had several product reviews
published over the years - not as a business but as individuals.
