Foreword
If you are really unsure what might best
suit your requirements then please give us a call. There are some products you may
encounter in general department stores and you'll find that that either the sales person
knows nothing of the product in general and nothing of what it is capable of. Moreover,
many of the telescopes and accessories are simply mass manufactured junk with poor optics,
construction and no 'real' warranty and technical after sales support.
We have highlighted a few examples of the
types of telescopes to avoid on our "Watch Out" page. If you are buying a telescope for the
young home budding scientist then you most certainly don't want to see it relegated to the
back shed because it simply didn't inspire. So beware on online auction sites..yes..you
know the ones!
Sure, cost is an important factor and we
pride ourselves on keeping prices realistically affordable but you must keep in mind as
with anything, "you get what you pay for". As most people realise too late...
help and true knowledge of the product and its application is just as important as the
optical and mechanical quality of the product itself.
So, you have visited our site and can be
highly reassured that all the products we list have been sample tested for performance,
value for money before we list them in our range. You are backed by over 35 years
experience in astronomy and commitment to service. |
